Well, I mean no offense to anybody but why is EB3 ROW so far back while EB2 India and China are as per June bulletin or better?
I thought for India the approved cases were 5 times the country quota for 2007? Good for those guys that were approved but I still don't get it why ROW is 2002!

The cut-off date is the priority date of the first documentarily qualified applicant who could not be accommodated for a visa number.

Currently, do chinese and Indians form a significant part of US population to affect diversity ? Just curious. I think one should start analyzing current US population and tabulate the % based on country of origin. Let us start with folks from UK, Italy, Ireland, Germany , Poland,..., India, China, ... . If it is found that some sections are less represented, let USA allow more into that category. True diversity.

some jack left me a message calling me ignorant.
ppl here are discussing his topic to death.. abt changing the per country quota.
No one here wants to even ponder that.. immigration into US is a not a random act.
The policy makers and thinkers may have spent many sleepless nights to arrive at the thought of giving every global citizen an equal opportunity to migrate to this "land of opportunity".
So even an attempt to remove per country quota is absurd and retarded thought.
Be practical and make more realistic suggestions..
a.) IF someone has been inthis country for 10 years ..F1->H1, he shoudl qualify for EAD (no constrains) , until the visa number become avaliable.
b.) Allow for simultaneous 140-485 filing..

you don't need PD's to be current to apply for interim benefits like EAD/AP

My PD is March 2010 EB2 so i'm not even in this race yet but help me in understanding one thing.
Was EB3 current in July 2007? If yes, I'm assuming atleast 95% EB3 folks have EAD and their spouse can work. The really big problem in post 2007 EB3.
Since dates were current in July 2007, Eb2 and Eb3 can atleast enjoy EAD/spouse working benefits. Why do ppl complain when they have EAD etc whose PD is before 2007.

house is 100 times more conservative than senate (does not matter if it is democratic controlled house and republican controlled house). If you think house is going to give us EB immigrants a break then you are completely off base. For every kyl, durbin and Kennedy in senate you will have three times more kyl, durbin and Kennedy in the house. House will take the senate bill and make some adjustments to it and not modifications. This bill cannot be repaired by amendments it is fundamentally flawed for us.whatever passes from the senate is the final bill, house will either reject it or rubber stamp it.
It looks like without H1b restrictions you may not get anything. That is mood in the Senate. If CIR is not coming what is your idea? Skill bill seperately is difficult if not impossible. Last minute they may increase H1b for a few years(But last minute increase of GC is impossible. You might have learned lesson on last lame duck session and February 2007) that will further screw up Gc waiting persons.If CIR comes you can have a chance of some favorable amendment in House if not happens in Senate. hey slumdog thanks for sharing your story....
The same happened to my office, but a different twist, the guy sitting behind me got laid off and no one knew about it, after it had happened and 3 days passed by, i am looking at where is this guy, he used to come at 7 am and be there till 7 pm what happened to him.
so i went n asked my manager and he said, oh myname, you did not know or what last week we laid off 6 folks in the engineering department.
I am like what !!!!!!!!!!
And then i immediately said one thing to him, i have worked for 2 yrs for you and i request just one thing back from you.
He asked me yes tell me what...
I told him, if you happen to know that i am going to be on the firing list, just let me know as soon as you know.
since i got lot of things to do... h1 transfer, health insurance this that...
He just smiled and said dont worry but if it happens i will let you know.,,,,,

Obama may be great...but we dont know...At least McCain has helped sponsor or vote in favor of EB bills in the past...So History on EB supports him more than Obama....

was visiting India after 5 years..the visa on my passport expired in 2003.. no transit visa.. had the new Visa document with me though.. missed the connecting KLM flight in Amsterdam & the next available flight was the following day.. the Airline staff went through my Visa document & gave me a 24-hr transit Visa & did put me up @ a hotel outside the Airport.. 'twas a blessing in disguise as I could tick AMS off my 'to visit' list..
