I did receive a letter from USCIS for my SR stating that they will be sending me a FP notice soon last week. I am still to receive it though. But while i opened the SR for me and my wife it only mentioned my name on the notice.
Perhaps we have to open 2 seperate SR's for me and my wife?
Does anyone know how long it takes to receive the FP notice after such a letter which acknowleges your SR request?

No, only allows people on H4 for more than 6 years to get a H1B of their own for 6 years or until their spouses EAD/GC's arrive.

This is a very valid point. If employer or his lawyer asks more money in fees for filing I485 it is always better to go thro employer if he files I485 promptly. But if the delay is intention of the employer then use your own Lawyer.

This is an excellent question Rahul. I have tried my best to find a definitive answer to this question. Different experts/lawyers have given different answer to this question. So I am not sure if salary hike at the same employer would hurt AOS application in anyway. On the face of it, it should be a no brainier and we would like to hear that. Most of the times, we all want to hear our lawyer give us a specific reply, so even if they lawyer is telling us something which doesn't directly imply what we want to hear, we still think that that the lawyer is telling us what we wanted to hear - "selective hearing".
But some lawyers have told me that substantial salary increase (30% in 3 years can be seen as substantial) could be a problem at USCIS. They could argue that the job/job requirement/job responsibilities have changed substantially as there is a substantial change in the wage rate offered. So it�s a grey area. In effect, system is designed to keep us where we are till the time the green card petition is approved. I realize that this doesn't provide a definitive answer to your question and sorry about that, but this is as much as I could find out about the specific question.

Believe it or not, I was about to open a thread like this. And here is the worst part, my AP has been approved 10 days ago, and so far neither the online status changed to approved nor i have received the approval copy. 2 ways I found out my AP was approved was through my local congressman and I took an infopass appointment. In the info pass appointment when I asked what is causing the delay in sending an approved AP, the officer says, if you did not get the approval notice in 45 days, call us back. This after waiting for more than 90days from the date of application. So, its not there until you have it in hand. Merely getting an approval these days is not enough, since they take anywhere upto 45 days to send the approval to you.

Maybe it has no legal validity. But still why to accept it. If they ask you to pay the fine/penalty, you will have to fight it before winning.
You can do one of these.
1. Ask them to remove the clause from the letter
2. Strike out the portion that mentions these and then sign it. Keep a copy of the signed document for yourself for future needs.
If this is just a "standard", they should not object to one of these. By the way such open ended terms are not common in offer letters. It definitely sounds fishy.

I am planning to file AC-21 memo with USCIS.
I hope the my new employer will help with paperwork. and I have to find a lawyer who can do that and be prepare for RFE and Interviews.
My last question to you:
1. Do you know for AC-21 I have to work in the same state where my labor was filed?
my labor was at IL and now working in TX but same type of job.
2. Is there a deadline or recommened time to file Ac-21 memo with CIS?
I just joined the new company 2 weeks back with my EAD after getting laid off from petitioning employer (they will not revoke my approved I-140)

You need to submit a new education evaluation.
I had also received an RFE.
An acceptable evaluation must:
1) consider formal eduction only
2) state if collegiate eduction is post-secondary education (i.e did appicant complete the US equivalant high school before entering college)
3) provide detailed explanation of material provided
For EB2 degree.. even if your labor states only Masters degree is required you need to prove that minimum education required for master's degree is Bachelors degree and a minimum requirement for Bachelors degree is your 10 + 2 high school education. Please contact thedegreepeople.com (sheila), they helped me in getting my I-140 approved.

This question was explictly asked by AILA to CIS in one of their monthly calls and CIS said they would get back on this. In other words, at that time, their position on this was not even clear to them.
This is why we see conflicting opinions on this topic from different attorneys. Some say the H-1 is gone and some say it is not.
Personally, I think it is possible to use both simultaneously and I think some people are already doing it.

I know that other than the GC and the passport...you don't need any other document. I guess your question can be interpreted as ...would those other documents help if you somehow lose your GC while traveling outside?
