Not so. There are no quota caps for spouses of US citizens, hence no retrogression.
You can do that. But the Family based immigration is very slow too

Please don't undercut the Flower campaign. We need to give time for this to percolate through the main stream media. Please please please don't start delivering all kinds of things to USCIS. My two cents!
PS: I did participate in the flower campaign early on so please don't post stuff saying I am a naysayer etc.

I am not saying that we are reporting fraud just for the sake of not tolerating it. This is effecting our GC. Earlier the effect was related to the job being taken away now it is effecting our GC too.
Initially L1s were sponsored only by large offshore companies like TCS, WIPRO etc.. The effect was that the jobs were taken away. But it did not have much effect on the GC side as most of these large offshore companies do not process GC for their employees.
But nowadays lots of small Offshore companies started doing L1As. These companies do not have lots of clients like TCS or WIPRo but they have a handfull of clients. So to make sure they have their clients they started bringing people in L1As and processing GC under EB1 for them. Although many of these people are developers and should be in EB3 and should be behind in the line. But as they are in L1A and are appling in Eb1 they are getting GC in no time and also taking the visa#s away. There are hunderes of these small offshore companies started getting people in L1As. Thus these EB1 Visa #s are not overflowing to EB2. This is effecting our GC.
Now we have :
1. Large offshore companies sponsored L1s taking the jobs
2. The small offshore companies sponsored L1s taking the GC visa #s.
If the L1As are indeed senior Manager then no problem, but the Developers/Business Analyst/ Project Manager without hire-fire authority are getting GC under EB1.
Thus these frauds should be reported so that at least the # of EB1 visas are not taken by fraud.
So you too can see how this fraud is effecting us all.
Do you know why we are having GC delays ?
1. Country cap for visa numbers
2. Visa numbers wasted by USCIS by their inefficiency
EB1 visa never belonged to EB2 or EB3 category. What if there were enough genuine EB1 people to claim all the EB1 visas. There won't be any spillovers. Spillovers are bonuses. It is never our right to claim those.
If you want your GC faster, work with IV for country cap removal and recapture.
Have you donated a single dime for IV's cause ?
We always find it easy to go against fellow immigrants than fighting the injustice at root.
Look at the following thread to see how easy it is to resolve GC issues if country caps are removed.

6/29/2007: EB-Visa Number Retrogression?
* There is a rumor going around that the State Department will issue a revised Visa Bulletin for July 2007 next Monday (July 2) or Tuesday (July 3) and that it may show retrogression of some or all EB categories, very likely to the point of unavailable for the month of July! Please stay tuned.

I don't give a damn what your epics say or what you practice in India. All I pointed out was teh corruption in India pointed out by international agencies compared to western democracies.
Oh there is no corruption in western democracies. :) LOL
Iraq war had no corruption
Halliburton deal had no corruption,
AIG had no corruption, BOA , Citi had no corruption.
Lobbying had no corruption
The texas cops who took money were not corrupt.
Abu Ghraib was very morally correct.
Blackwater was a very level headed company.
Did all this happen in some communist eastern state?

I agree we should focus on the task. There are lot of people trying to mislead and take the discussion off track. I will draft my own letter and send it this weekend. Its better if everyone writes there own letter. EB3 guys wake up and do something.
Please share your draft so everybody can use it.
EB3: Please dont' loose focus from what EB2 people are saying. Since the new law favors them, they are trying to misguide us here.

l1fraud if you do not like fraud , report it.
If you are scared of losing your job, then find another job.
If you are worried about getting replaced, then upgrade your skills and get competitive rather than crying about it.
If you are not happy with your salary in your profession and then people will get $5/hr due to outsourcing, then change your profession and accept globalization. You racist good for nothing folks had it good for very long. Do not expect $100/hr for HTML coding anymore.
If you want to launch a crusade against it, then how about openly declare with your name , phone number and start your website against it.
If you cannot do anything other than whining anonymously, then join loser's guild. (I guess you are already)
BS... absolute BS ... how about you stop being his mentor. The guy is losing is job because of FRADULENT means used by a company, he is not complaining that his junior upgraded his/her skills and is replaced by him/her. You are basically suggesting a victim of a robbery not to complain to police and instead go to gym more often!! Stop this nonsense please.

I am an ex British Airways employee, and I spent one year in 1997 living in London city. Please understand that the level of customer service one gets in USA, is just a dream in UK. Mishandling customers, showing a complete arrogant behavior, and a total disregard for their basic customer rights are just a few business traits in UK. I witnessed couple of BA strikes at Heathrow, and beleive me after what I saw, I will never travel with any british airline in future. You are lucky that you just saw a tip of the iceberg and came to your conclusions. It starts from their embassy, and continues throught the airlines, security checks, baggage handling, staff etc.
I like your comments about Koh-i-noor. If it was any other country, they would have happily returned it to the country where it genuinly belong. Oh by the way, during my stay at UK, I had to remind their couple of citizens about what exactly the phrase "Be British" means.

I am a july 2nd filer and filed my second application on Aug 15th.
Now that I have got receipts for July 2nd applications, I have put stop payments on the checks on Aug 15th application.
My hope is that my 2nd application will not be processed.
Hi, I'm in the same situation. I was afraid that my July 2nd application may be rejected or misplaced or ... so I filed a second application in August. Do you think that it's safe to put a stop payment on the check for the second application? I consulted an immigration attorney on that and he thought that it may negatively affect the first application if the second one is rejected. The attorney's suggestion was to withdraw the second application once the receipt notice is generated. Is there an option to combine both I-485s? Please, let me know what you think. Thanks, Leo

Friends
Here is a suggestion, who ever decides to join Vonage now, can use a referral link from one of the member, who is already a vonage customer, so that he can get 2 months off. Now the member who got 2 months off, can either donate two months bill amount or one month (if he choose to retain one month off) to forum.;)
What do u guys think?
Infact not only this, we can use any other similar referral programs, like Direct TV 100 offer etc..

JUAN GONZALEZ: Now, Lou, youve been well known for years now, especially dealing with the issue of American corporations exporting jobs and criticizing that whole process of exporting American jobs overseas.
LOU DOBBS: Sure.
JUAN GONZALEZ: And yourbut also the criticism of it, that as Ive seen it as, oftentimes does not deal with the impact so much of what this globalization on those countries themselves. In other words, you criticize NAFTA for sending so many jobs overseas, but not with the impact so much that its having on Mexico and on these other countries that are the other end of this free trade.
LOU DOBBS: Juan, that may be because Im a television journalist, limited in my intellect, as well as my time.
JUAN GONZALEZ: Well, on this show, we dont have commercials, so we have a lot of time to get into the issues.
LOU DOBBS: The reality is that, of course, NAFTA is, in my judgment, at least deleterious to the interests of the Mexican people and to the state of Mexico. One only has to look at the empty villages in particularly southern Mexico to examine the impact of the agricultural policies within NAFTA. One only has to look at the maquiladoras across northern Mexico to see the impact on a society that is already 50% impoverished, education levels still where they were thirty years ago in Mexico.
But my perspective is an American one. And I wont presume to speak for Mexico, as Felipe Calderon does presume to speak to the United States for Americans on American policy. The reality is that NAFTA doesnt work for this country. It doesnt work for Mexico.
But I am not one of those peopleas Amy was talking about, my detractors. The suggestion Im anti-immigrant, for example, is absurd. I would support an increase in lawful immigration and have said so repeatedly and have no problem whatsoever with current levels of immigration, which, by the way, are the highest levels of immigration in the worldin fact, more than the rest of the world combined. We bring in more than two million people. But the issue is one that the United States does not have a foreign policy toward Mexico. Were paternalistic and condescending toward Mexico in our dealings with Mexico, both corporately and politically. And its time for that to change.

The Labor Shortage Hoax
By Alan Tonelson
American Economic Alert, January 27, 2006
. . .
Its clear, then, that most labor shortage claims are simply meant to justify the multinationals continued resort to the low-wage strategy to greater short-term profits, either through offshoring jobs and production, or through flooding the U.S. labor market with immigrants. But give credit to the outsourcing lobby its not only pressing on, but has added a new twist to their argument: The outsourcers are turning up skilled-labor shortages in China and India, too, according to numerous news reports like the January 4 Wall Street Journal item titled Indias Talent Pool Drying Up.
