Employer letter is not required if you are attaching photocopies of two current pay stubs.

You would need employee letter as well. The employee letter will state that the position is still open and they are willing the pay the amount that was initially agreed to while filing for labor.....so pay stub is not enough.....

There is a petition to capture lost visa. If lost visas are recaptured, there will be some relief.
but even with this big announcement tomorrow, we still only have 140,000 visas and keep in mind USCIS has just been averaging about 100,000 per year. (so about 40,000 get wasted every year)
All all this does is to push the bottleneck further down the pipeline.
the only benefit I see is that it helps with filing of AP and EAD which does not help someone like me with my 485 already pending

HI i got my traffic citation this August 15th 2009. That too driving 35 mph in a 30 mph zone, 5 miles over the speed limit and i paid a fine of 125$ plus a 1 point to DMV history. That is the only citation i have till now.

Mostly they dont matter unless its high level

I do not know about a 'receipting update' from USCIS, but they have certainly released the second FAQ regarding July '07 Bulletin today - July 27, 2007:

I understand you don’t care about the United States and its people and you’re only interested in what you can gain from them but if you weren’t so blinded by greed you’d see this is something else they can give to you. Now I know why I took the route I did, I would have accomplished far less in my personal life with the likes of you. In fact, I may doing to much sharing my expertise with you. I refuse to have my name tarnished any further. Besides, you’re only a beginner. What was I thinking? IV really ought to make it clear to everyone that this is an amateur site. Maybe by changing its name to Beginning Immigration. IV definitely is not the voice of Immigration – my voice is different from IVs and I’m dealing with immigration. I agree 100% with the previous post person.
I myself am a PMP. It is very easy to do one, you need to have the right project mgmt experience (PMI may audit it) and you need to prepare for few months and you can clear it easily.
But the question is, more than the exam it is the practical experience, sometimes this job can be so frustrating and you feel like a sandwich being hit on both sides.
If you already have a PM experience and you dont have the certification, definetly go for it, it is worth the spending.
Again remember it expires in 3 yrs , you got to keep renewing your PDUs to stay current... its not like MCSD or MCAD which is for life long...

There is a HUGE difference between being TOLERATED and BEING LIKED.
I am sure you have the intelligence to see the difference.
You can "tolerate" someone you don't like, but you can not "welcome" someone whom you don't like. I for one, donlt want to be in the "tolerated" category.
And may I ask, what exactly is your definition of hostility? Being chased down the street by a bunch of thugs, who think you should be in their country, or the kind of passive hostility being practised as of now?
Quite honestly, if that is how you feel - perhaps you'd need to reconsider relocating to your home nation. I'm Indian, who grew up in the Middle East. I've lived in the United States for 6 years. I've always felt quite welcome and accepted in every way possible. I believe I've been treated fairly and have had the opportunity to live with Americans and contribute in positive ways. I continue to live here, primarily based on these sentiments. I'd never live here if I felt the way you do now.

My wife's EAD renewal was e-filed with a receipt date of june 6 th, almost 120 days, still waiting. Got biometric notice for july 1st and finished it.After 94 days called 1-800 to request expediting the case on sep. 11 th, they sent a RFE asking for I-94 copies and stating biometrics were not transmitted to them and needed information on that, along with enlarged copy of photo ID.
Responded to RFE with a receipt date of sep. 25 th and no updates till day.
Called on 9/3 asnd raised a 2nd SR for expediting. AS her EAD expired on oct.1st and was given 1 week to produce new EAD by oct 10 th by her employer.
WE were hoping for some miracle by monday:confused:

May Visa Bulletin is out. EB3 ROW and Philippines seem to have moved by 1 year.

As a result, the anticipated increase in demand has not yet materialized and may not for some time. An IV core member is going to be helping you to fix this with USCIS. Let us know if you need help. He already tried contacting you yesterday.
As IV grows maybe this is a help IV can extend to all its donor members and help them if they get in such extreme distress situations. This is one of the ideas we are thinking for our members in the donor group.
I absolutely support this idea, hopefully this would strengthen the donor base as well and encourage people to come out and help themselves..

Person, if in USA, has 30 days to start working for H1 employer after CoS approval date. One more thing, one can start working after applying for SSN without waiting for getting actual SSN.
It seems that she was out of status.

Five reasons why I oppose immigration reform bill in its current form.
1. This bill in its current form does nothing to reduce the current backlog of employment based backlog of green cards. This bill infect reduces number of legal immigrant visas from 140000 to 90000 immediately for people who are waiting line legally and been paying taxes and contributing in fields of Computers , technology , pharmacy , nursing.
2. This bill makes things difficult/impossible of renewal of legal visas for me and my sister(both of us are on H1B).This bill changes renewal of H1B from three years to one year even if green card application is pending where as undocumented/illegal persons can renew their Z visa unlimited number of times even if they have no intention of applying for green card.
3. This bill puts more restrictions on H1B visa while awarding Z1 visa for undocumented /illegal persons with far less restrictions. Z1 visa can be self petitioned, they can work for any employer of their choice and job of their choice and they don’t even have to work as long as they go to school. H1B is far more restrictive, H1b visa holder is held hostage by employer and employer has to file the documentation for eligible candidate.
4. This bill does nothing to lift the per country allocation of green cards for legal/merit based applicants of green cards. If merit is the criteria for green card why should it matter what nation one comes from. Amazing thing about this bill is that if you are illegal and have a Z1 visa it does not matter what country you are from, NO COUNTRY BASED CAPS FOR UNDOCUMENTED/ILLEGALS (They are no more illegal because they have Z1 visa)while applying green card.
5. New merit based system that senate is planning to introduce is totally skewed towards illegal/undocumented people as well. Some of the key points, If you have a Z1 VISA(ILLEGAL/UNDOCUMENTED) and own a home you get some points in green card , If you are legally here and paying taxes and own a home you don’t get any points. If you have a Z1 VISA (ILLEGAL/UNDOCUMENTED) and have health insurance you get some points in green card, if you are legally waiting in line and have health insurance for whole family you don’t get any points. If you have Z1 visa (ILLEGAL/UNDOCUMENTED) and you have kids, Kids get Green card in 3 years. If you are legal and you have kids, Kids don’t get anything unless they become illegal and wait for next amnesty or legalization.

I don't think she will have a H1 approval notice if she is coming to US first time.
My wife is here in USA and just convert her status from F1 to H4 .And her F1 visa expiring this August. So we r planning to go Canada for Visa stamping.....
