Yes guys take this route .... Another workaround i used for getting H1B extension approval paper... I told Desi employer that my state requires H1 797 form to change the Drivers License... Lot of states do need that so i used that to get that.
You have to be tactical while dealing with Desi Employers !!
Curios, is your employer desi. Wait for sometime, tell him that you need to go to your home country and need receipt notice to use your AP in return. Catch is you have to use your EAD & AP after return.

Instead of asking for more bread, we are fighting ferociously for the scraps like dogs!
It was estimated by Compete America that if the last CIR had passed there would have been more than 500,000 visa numbers recaptured ( don't ask me for the math, I didn't come up with this number). Assuming that the Nurses took away a chunk of it, we still would have a big chunk to statify Eb3, Eb3, ROW, India, China etc. etc. And the nurses are going to walk away with a big chunk folks - whether we like it or not - because we are fighting each other like dogs for the scraps of the spillover, while they will come up well organized and walk away with the cake.
Our disunity, lack of long-term vision, lack of action is our biggest weakness. We will not win unless we fight this together.
For the August visa bulletin, USCIS gave all the extra quota to EB2. I don't think this is fair for all the EB3 people. I thougt the reason they gave all the quota to them was the EB2 included NIW. But NIW is just a small portion of EB2. Majority EB2 peopole are like EB3 working for companies and not necessarily important to give all the extra quota to them. If the policy continues, our EB3 will just become fake immigration. You don't know how long we can finalize our case. Gugs, please work together and let our voice to be heard by USCIS. Hope our organization can help us.

Isn't it a relief? if the officer calls you for interview, checks your documents and says approved but no GC till PD current? I can live happily with it for couple of years atleast without thinking of GC. The feeling of getting GC in future 100% is almost equal to having GC today. You can change jobs on AC21 without fear and use EAD and AP full force and forget about renewing H1b's

There has been years if not decades of abuse of US visa by most IT consulting/services companies. Eventually it reached epidemic proportions and eventually we are seeing a massive crackdown.
This is why I said 221G is a good initiative. Even if people have to suffer a little bit, full check is needed for every visa stamping and every green card application.

ive mentioned it in anovr thread but it applies here perhaps even more so...
if u can create a fairly intuitive JavaScript client update tool... will u ever need my sql or ne of that stuff? ( i mean i no its good to hav on ur resume etc but...)
im 17 and have my first "job" or request as its gonna b for free to giv me sum experience.. plus i work for them!! (part time as im in my penultimate year at school with no intentions of goin to uni)
i tell u theyr gonna be the coolest farm on the web!! lol
i thout itd b a good idea to at least get 1 example of wat i can do on the web b4 i start askin ne1 for money... just to let them no im serious uno?

Who can get regulation change done? Companies like Microsoft, Oracle etc...they have the bandwith and financial muscle to lobby and make regulation change happen....

The real question is if Senator Kennedy's office said March 07 or March 08 or 09. This drama has no ending.
What is our worth here, to me it looks like for the politcians illegals are more valuable than well educated immigrants. It is the same old political crap that I had seen back home, it is just that here it is packaged differently.
I called Senator Ed Kennedy's office and was told that CIR is likely to be introduced in early March something like first week. They of course told me that there are no guarantees, but more a reasonable probability.

Once you leave your shores and come to another country, peeople from every nationality are same. Indians, British, Nepalese, Pakistanis etc...... There must not be concerns about names that sound Indian.....
Indian names are very nice names, kinda difficult for westerners to pronounce but whats wrong in an Indian name???
Indians also have names like John, James, Mary etc... which sound western. Whats wrong with Aman ?? The name is nice. Easy to pronounce.

Every one are highly educated and highly skilled and there is always needs to be difference compared to other forums. Actually after Moderators started monitoring messages one person is putting abusive languages in comment section of the Reputation of many posts as those are unnoticed unless the person complained. I welcome red or green dots in reputation but abusive words in the comment section are not acceptable to me.
It may not be possible to micromanage everything. But moderators are taking prompt action if anyone reports abusive languages.
in that case it ...we should have a wall of shame section & tag members...;)
but the point is how much of micromanagement can u do on a "free" forum!
anyway..

Also, per the law any social security they contribute will never be credited back to them because they have to work for atleast 10 years, the work visa duration is six year. Skilled workers make reasonable salaries so this is a huge amount of money which thay might never see.
Perceptions maybe far removed from reality. One of them is that immigrants will continue to bear injustice in US while globalization takes its toll on US competitiveness because of populist measures, that will hurt it in the long run.

I surely may have missed something here. Has been a bill placed already that will allow us to file 485 and get EAD?
Sorry, I am really having tough time coming to IV these days.
Its law the day when it is signed by the president unless there is clause in the bill to postpone the impelmentation.
