I have noticed soft LUD's on all receipts including I140, H1B with all other receipts (485, EAD and AP) for my self and my spouse after using AC21 with H1B transfer.
Not received FP yet and did not call Service center for it.
Any clues? or any experienced the same.

Along same lines, I would like to ask, Mark or whoever in anti-immigration camp,
there are only 1M (may be little less) skilled workers looking for immigration and you have problem with that because all of them are not THE BRIGHTEST one, okay... well first understand, for THE BRIGHTEST we have EB1 which is working great. Now in America there is a lot of work which needs experienced and highly skilled worker and we have EB2 for that, apart from that we still have a lot of work which requires hitech skilled worker and for that we have Eb3. So by the definition system has already identified the need and have representation for those.
And secondly you have problem with those who came legally and are highly skilled and have followed all the rules since day 1, counts less that 1 million, you are not willing to give them GC on other hand there are 12M (actually 20 M) who can't even write their names in English and everybody is ready to give them GC even the president of US is ready.
Doesn't that give signal that US is pro illegal and anti-legal immigration.... think about it

I think Meera Shankar needs to be fired. Its bloody 2010 and this is the kind of customer service the indian consulates provide - they dont pick up calls - it takes them a month to issue new passports - Always feel ashamed to be an indian any time I have to deal with these useless consulates.

Well if the system were fair, it wouldn't say x pending ROW, it would be like x pending eb3 and y pending eb2. Yes, there are a lot of applications from India, it is a large country! But why should it be relevant in EB based processing?
Did you choose the country you would be born in, or is somehow one's skillset dependent on national origin?
Like it or not, USA want diversity;), they not want to be a second Indian, Asian, Mexican, African, European etc country.
And one way to try to manage this is by country limits.

I filed on july 23rd got ead & AP but did not get FP. After reading this thread and seeing the patterns i think that if your application is processed by the center where it has to originally go then you get your FP quickly but in cases where your application went to original center and then that center sent to other centers for EAD and/or AP then their FP's is getting delayed, like my self.
I also have another problem. I changed address just after applying for I-485.I think FP is NOT dependent on PD's and or address change.
This is just my 2 cents.

There's always two sides of a coin. Don't think much about people who gave you red but there were also people who gave you green. And in this forum red and green means nothing.
It's just that some frustrated souls gives you RED and some relaxed souls give you GREEN.

I applied on May18 for I-140 and will be applying to I485 soon.. and would get EAD...so what happens to EAD and AP...I cant beleive they are
waste..Probabaly people with pending I-140 will be subject to the new systems..??..what do you guys think??..Its not pratical to drive people down the Queue again..
Nothing will go th waste until this bill becomes the law. After that, you still have another year or more before the points system kicks in. It is when they start the points system (oct 2008) when they will look into this dreaded date of May 15 2007 and decide on people's fate. Until then, keep doing what you are doing.

2. AP extension.
3. Since EAD extension is possible only because of 485 pending, is there a chance of risk, if employer withdraws 485 for some reason.

Your employer does not have the authority to withdraw the your I485 application. Your employer however has the authority to withdraw the underlying I-140 application.
If you have an approved I-140 and your I-485 application has been pending for more than 180 days, the revokation of your I-140 application by your employer will not have any effect. it may trigger an interview or an RFE for you to prove valid employment, which you should be able to prove (pay stubs, employment letter, tax returns) and beyond that there should be no risk what so ever.

At one point, there was concurrent filing. Just get LC approved and file for I-140 and I-485. Even if dates are not current. Then these filings were seperated. Then retrogression kicked in.
Now these GCs are getting aproved. So, don't worry.
