how does one know NC is cleared? do you see an update?
No. Mine was cleared on July 22nd,08 - But did not see any LUDs.
If you had two different A#s (140 and 485) you will see an LUD on 140 when they reconcile the two.

Yes the notice (I was mentioning) and the receipt number are the same. If you apply for MTR and you receive the SRC number you can continue to work. If the decision is positive your case will be put back to pending status else you need to get back to your lawyer to determine the future course of action.

Yes the notice (I was mentioning) and the receipt number are the same. If you apply for MTR and you receive the SRC number you can continue to work. Someone I know was EB3 I Aug 2001. They had filed for I-485 sometime in 2005. They got their GC on 12/22/2008.
Their lawyer filed a Writ of Mandamus against USCIS in Aug 2008. The deal was the USCIS was to either approve or reject their case in 60 days.. So, check with your attorney and see if filing a case in an option for you.

Aren't we over-estimating the overall $$ loss? Assuming we will eventually file for I-485, some of the fees that other members are mentioning are not really a waste.
I spent about $2500 in attorney fees but I do not consider this a waste. The next time I file for my I-485, all my paperwork is ready and I am assuming my attorney won't charge me again (atleast not another $2500).
I spent $360 for medical but it is valid for 1 year. If by any chance I can file for my I-485 within the next year, this is not a waste.
Filing fees are all going to come back. So it should not be counted as money spent. Photos would also come back (hopefully).
Only $$ loss I see as of now are the fedex charges and other micellaneous spendings. For me it is around $500. Not so bad....

I am worried if I would have any problems converting to H1 since I am practically out of work force since 2000.

What is the procedure to file Tax from India?
1. Designate one of the tax filing companies (HR block etc ...) as your agent by filling a form (check IRS web site) and give it to your. Your company will issue W-2 to this agent. You have to pay filing fee in advance to the tax filing company.
2. If your company issues W-2 electronically and your banks/financial institutions produce 1099s electronically, you can file the returns from India electronically and direct refund to your bank account.

Thanks doc for the prognosis. I have said this before and I will say it again that all this is USCIS fault. They are the ones who are taking 90 days to issue recipt notices. They are the ones who are not following FIFO in issuing recipt notices. They are the ones who said that they have processed all applications received before July 1 but have not cashed checks for my application which was mailed on June 11th.
On a lighter note what you are doing with those you tube videos is also OBSSESSIVE COMPULSIVE (DIS)ORDER except that it's for something good.

I guess, other then marriage certificate, wedding photographs, wedding card invitation & property papers on joint name & other investments on joint name might help. I know that wedding photos & wedding invitation card does help to an extent.

A lot many can empathize with you. But if you are looking for relief - you ought to take responsibility for how you feel. You already understand the forces of nature - you will get your GC when it's your time. If anything your needless frustration and forceful attempts are only interfering with the energies that have made your PD current.
Just relax - get some exercise, eat well and participate in things that lift your soul.

I didn't care much for Visa bulletin until it became current for EB2 two weeks back. As the time progress, I am doing all sorts of things, like checking USCIS case status, and checking everything that can possibly give me some information. I know that it is waste of time, I know it is not good for health, I know that I will get GC when time comes, but still, my mind is tricking me to think about it. I checked all these forums until 2A.M last night. I am not having enough sleep. I am waiting for a opportunity to get rid of my desi employer. I am really getting frustrated (I am not saying that I have been waiting for GC approval desperately). I just want to share my frustration and what I have been going through. I know I am in a better position than most of other people whose priority date is not even current. I wish they never dangled a carrot in front of me. I am not sure if they disappoint me next month, but I am still keeping my hopes. Hopefully, I would get over this and have enough sleep from today.
