Dear friends, why do you seek to start bashing your country at the first opportunity you get. THere are people in the Indian Govt who are negotiating on your behalf to make sur you get your money back.

If we will get EADs, let's see who are gonna be our friends and enemies:
Lawyers. They are never our friends. If you are on H1b, then you better do every extension through the lawyer. If your H1b extension will be denied, you are in trouble. If you are on AOS/EAD cycle - you don't need a lawyer. It's a simple application. If for some reason your EAD denied (because you screwed something up in application), you will just reapply - it will not affect your status. If you will have a gap - just take leave without pay, to be formally compliant. So.. lawyers will lose, if we will all jump on EAD.
Employers. Believe me, so many consulting companies will be out of business for good, because a lot of folks will just join other companies for better salaries. It will be no more slavery, no more intimidation. For a lot of employers "f$%4 off" will be the usual thing they hear. So they won't like it.
Average American. We will be able to compete with them directly and kick them out of many positions. It's a capitalist country, and competition is a key to prosperity. It is much harder to find a job on H1B than with EAD. Yes, average American employee is undereducated and overpriced, and with a lot of demand and drama. Successful companies will love to hire us.
US government. They will like to get us on EAD, because we will start having higher salaries and will be paying higher taxes. We will start paying yearly EAD/AP fees. So, in this case DOS is on our side.
I think DOS perfectly understood that, that's why they made dates current to force USCIS give us EAD. It was no mistake. But all kinda anti-immigrant forces desperately made this impossible by more likely braking the law.

I dont believe Indian govt can help in this...Lets first gather people and we will let you know the next course of action. There are bunch of people in Face book who got struck up in visa delays. I am trying to reach out to them. Its big group...try to get them here. Please contact those people...

I am not trying to question your intent just trying to get some knowledge of facts. However your reasoning suggests that there are numbers available to overflow from EB2 World to EB2 India. I think you are right. EB3 india might be stuck for very long time. Remember all the 2001 DOL backlog cases from NY, NJ and CA? And how long BEC took to clear them? They are all waiting to get into the EB queue.
In the previous month, EB3-INDIA date was April22nd,2001. Now it moved to May8th2001. Now, the people with PD's from April22rd2001 to May7th2001 are eligible to apply or ready for adjudication of 485. That means, probably, there are lot of 485(245i) cases to be adjudicated? What do you all think?

The company filed for her H1B COS which was approved with new I-94. Lot of people with consulting firms especially spouses would be in similar situation and while following the forums, I haven't heard many denials with this reason i.e., joining the employer a little later for H1B approval.
So what are the chances of getting a RFE or denial? Since we already filed for 485, I am not sure if there is anything we can do.

Reading the bulletin thread and prediction thread is good enough to prepare for GMAT problem solving area. I love these analysis and conclusions.
I think that the DOS (Dept of State) releases VISA Numbers on a quarterly basis. If that is the case, there should be movement in EB2 India in Jan 2007.
The other possibility always exists that the numbers were released for this quarter but the demand was SO HIGH that the net date did not move at all.

Though I have signed G28, I have received both AP and EAD. Attorney did not even know that I received my AP and EAD.
I think EADs are sent to the applicant and AP to the attorney...had the same in my case...plus seen lots of folks here say the same thing...
