I think the only people who would oppose this are the ones who are not really contributing. I think it is quite appropriate to have that information. Beacause it will encourage people to contribute something like the domino effect.

How is it that a question about the Bible raises so much feedback, whereas a question like "Have you ever climbed Mount Everest?" would have little or no affect.
After voting for it, I posted because I thought it didn't really have any place here, especially because of his apparent intent and implication (confirmed by viewing his other work). Seemed out of place on this secular site.

It appears we did not get to have a leader for this chapter. Since I am in lansing Michigan, the heart of where all the lawmakers are in MI. I will be happy to coordinate any IV activity.

Hi All,
Its seems that my approved EAD card lost from mailbox (seems like post man delivered it in diff mail box instead of mine).. It�s been more than 15 days of approval but no card in the mail.
I contact customer service and they said wait for 30 days otherwise file new one. I am not sure what are the option I have if I won�t receive my card on time? My existing EAD is expiring within next 25 days. Is there any way that I can get my card back or USCIS issue new card without filling new one?

just wanted to share my Finger Printing Experience.
I am july 2nd filer, EB2.
NSC -CSC - NSC case.
Got my FP done today,
however I noticed that on my ASC notice, my SSN has been printed incorrectly.
I called USCIS and made the correction.
I was surprised & furious at the same time, by seeing this mistake from USCIS.
Their system is so bad, they are not even verifying the Name to the corresponding SSN. Had I missed to notice, I would have been stuck either at FBI name check or by a querry from USCIS later for a long long time.
Already the wait is long enough.
Anyways, dont relax just seeing your EADs and APs, watch every detail on whatever they send.

My wife and daughter planning to go to India next month. They do not have H4 stamping but H4 validity is there up to next year. Plan is to come back after receiving AP. I am thinking that once their AP is approved I will send their AP to India, and they will come back using that AP. Experts, do you see any problem in this. Please share your thoughts.

No I did not. The instructions said, I don't have to send photos.
That is the reason, they asked me to appear for bio-metrics which I did.
Probably the RFE might be related to photos not being sent. A friend of mine received a RFE for not sending the photos eventhough they are not required to be sent but he did not get any Biometrics notice.
After the photos were sent, the application was approved.

I would not mind getting EAD few weeks late and prefered to have reciept notice recieved instead. I filed Jul 2nd at TSC and no news yet about Reciept, CC, EAD, AP. Most July 2 filer at NSC got their reciepts 2 weeks ago.
There may be 1% chance of 485 being rejected and that is pretty scary. Easly NSC filers can atleast put their mind at rest for 485 acceptance.

As other members have advised, until 180 days+, maintain good relationship with your current employer as if you are going to be with them for ever (don't even give an inkling that you might be planning to leave). After 180 days you may leave, but you will have to find a new employer who is willing to hire you on permanent basis upon getting you GC for same/similar job as in the LC. What you do until your GC is approved (contract job with this employer or something else) is a different matter. Those employments can be on EAD, H1, temp/permanent, etc.

My wife worked as a consultant for first half of 2008 with a desi employer as an employee (on W-2). After many calls and emails we received W-2 Thursday that has income and taxes of only first two months. Now he says that he showed remaining 4 months as his profit so he can only send 1099. Please advise if I can take any legal action against this employer.

There is an option in turbo tax, if you didnot receive the w-2 from employer you need to submit another form. So explore that one and will give you more information.
I guess if you are submitting that form, IRS will take care of your employer issue. Otherwise just call the Trubo Tax people if you are using them.
