Although my H1 and my wife's H4 expires next year July, she got her DL renewed till 2011

Long before REAL ID, I renewed my DL in Arizona and it was renewed until age 65. My wife was not so lucky as she came here after REAL ID and has hers renewed till I-94 validity.

No, it is wrong, as you can see from the link, this is the correct address effetive July 30, 2007.
What I understood from my lawyer is to send the renewal documents to address at the bottom of I-485 notice. I may have understood wrong.

Ok I think we are reaching new heights of RIDICULOUS here. An IV member has asked a SIMPLE question about whether or not an Indian citizen needs a visa for the Bahamas.
Who the heck do we think we are to ask him/her to NOT go on that cruise and instead donate to IV?? People i know that we need to raise money and quickly, but this is really not the way to go about it. Everyone needs a vacation to recharge their batteries and spend quality time with their families. The GC is a "MEANS to the END", NOT "The END". Going by this logic, lets not do anything for the next 2-3 years. Lets not buy houses, cars, furniture etc. Lets instead contribute to IV. Besides what is to say that this person has not contributed to IV already?

My PD is Feb 2004, so I've been current for almost 2 months now. Though, my ND is 9/12/2007 and NSC is processing 7/14/2007, so that's not current yet...
Receipt date and not notice date is the factor.
Also, NSC has been processing even people with October notice dates and appoved people with current PDs.

I am not really effected by GC delay, cuz I was able to file I-485 in 2004 and I changed my job twice using AC-21 (refer to AC-21 thread I explained my situation), Also my wife is working with EAD, so I have no reason to go insane, but remember I still contribute to IV and itz cause, while I know many guys stuck in labor for last 5-6 years are still skepctical about IV.
Now back to H1B subject, I am glad IV is not promoting H1B increase, just because I came in H1B it does not mean H1B any better,

I am sorry, I did not chose my words carfully enough, it is Sugested that you atlest can make a Flexible website that anybody can update imformation. this is where XML and XSLT come in, XML can hold data and is widly used for almost anything, XSLT can transform XML into XHTML or HTML, PHP would be used for anything that you would not like to have Stadic (just look at the Server side fourm) Once again I did not pick the best words, and I am sorry for that. I applied for H1B extension in October 2006 as my H1B was about to expire in December. After five months of applying, got an RFE in February 2007 . My employer replied to the query in Mid March 2007. My employer was reluctant to do a premium processing when he replied the query, saying that he doesn't want to take any risk. CSC transfered my case to Seattle, WA field office ( the field office is no where near my employers physical location, not even close to where I live) on April 4th. I guessed that its because of new H1 petitions filed in April. Its been more than 3 months and no action taken on my petition. We tried to convert into premium processing, but the field office rejected it saying they don't accept premium processing in their jurisdiction. So nothing else to do but to wait wait wait. Total time passed since my initial petition in October ( 9 months).
My license has expired in March and the DMV do not renew my license with out a new I-94. Really its been a hell with out DL and still depending on others for necessary needs.
I am tired of telling the story to every one. Why not one more time here. I want to find out what other steps I can take to expedite the H1 Petition. Is there any way around to get the license renewed. Please share your experiences and suggestions.

I took an info pass appointment and went to the Newark Office today to see if they can help with my case. The IO said, they don't deal with H1B cases and cant help me in anyway. Though she took time to see where it is. She told me that I have to wait wait wait. This is really pissing me off, without a driving license for the last 4 months, passport expiring soon, Wife's H1 petition Query ( as her H4 renewal is in hold due to my H1B RFE). Guys please post some ideas on how to deal with this situation. I even opened a service request about my case. But no progress. what should be my next course of action to move the case.
Any valuable suggestions would be appreciated.

MTR = Motion to reopen. Filed if a case is denied, by submitting additional evidence etc.
NOID = Notice of intent to deny(this is what the USCIS usually sends you in cases where they plan to deny your 485, sometimes, usually if there is willful fraud etc. they deny straight away)

Isn't it a relief? if the officer calls you for interview, checks your documents and says approved but no GC till PD current? I can live happily with it for couple of years atleast without thinking of GC. The feeling of getting GC in future 100% is almost equal to having GC today. You can change jobs on AC21 without fear and use EAD and AP full force and forget about renewing H1b's

OP - If you have a cooperative employer, I would say go for it. Given the rate at which EB2-I is progressing, you will get GC much sooner although the PERM process for EB2 may take a long time. Assuming you get an audit on your PERM, even if the entire process takes 1.5 years, you can get your 140 in PP and once your PD is ported, you are current. Even if the entire process takes 2 years (worst case), it's worth the effort. EB3-I will move at a very slow pace. As others suggested, you wont see significant movement till EB2-I is current.
Financially, the porting would make a lot of sense too. Assuming a family of 2, you are spending close to $1000 (or even more) per year on the AP and EAD renewals, not to mention the employer's cost of renewing the H1. When you go to your HR for starting the EB2 process, you want to put it in terms of how it's financially viable for the company. When you do the math, it's a win win for both the employer and the employee in the long run if you get the GC earlier.
I'd say go for it. Good luck!
