I know the RD (which is printed in our paper receipt - ie day when USCIS received your application, and not the date when USCIS mailed your the receipt) is when the 180 day clock gets started.

Filed at NSC on July 2nd 2007. Got EAD/AP approval notices and receipts/transfer notices from CSC last week. No FP notice yet.
There are several in my company in the same situation..NSC->CSC and now CSC Xfr'd back to NSC. No one has rcvd FP notice. I think August 17th filers at NSC are ahead of us now and we are at the tail of the queue one more time.
The only advantage of CSC transfer is if you need EAD/AP desperately. if you don't then it's just bad luck.

I had gone to India for my father's 75th. b'day and planned to get my H-1 renewed. However, when I went to embassy, they said that I have to get clearance and will take one week. I said fine. One week became two weeks, then one month and then two months. I tried to contact embassy and other people, but of no use. My chief here in US, also tried. Meanwhile, my AP had arrive in US (we had filed for I485).( My wife had already got her H-1 approved and she had gone back.) She send me the AP. I contacted two of my lawyers; one said it is fine to come with AP, other said no. I send a letter to embassy asking about my travel with AP. They said, it is legal and not suggested!!!.
So after waiting for two month, I took a chance and came here on AP. At the airport, they took more than one and half hours to get be cleared, meanwhile my wife was waiting for me outside, not knowing what was happening. She was in tears when I came out finally.
After I came to US, I was informed from India that the US embassy had called and said that my name has been cleared and I should come to get my H1 visa stamped.!!!!!!!!

OK... now my primary project/goal from my side for this weekend is to make sure letter from my friends and known resources did their hand written letters to President or check if if they already did and worst case scenario make them print those letters sign them and mail to white house & copy to IV... I am pretty sure all our effort will NOT GO WASTE!!

2 H1bs , like, If one is on bench but getting paid by that company, starts working with 2nd company on transferred H1b, so it is like double pay for about 2-3 weeks .
If you're getting paid while you're on bench with Company A, and Company B has transfered your H1, and is paying you as well, that's not a problem. The problem arises if you're on bench and are not getting paid. On H1, one has to be paid even if he/she is on bench.

I cannot imagine how educated illiterate IV members are. You think voting on some site will get the bill passed? I agree with Fresheb2 that this is a waste of time. You guys are only promoting some new site. This site will capture your email addresses and send you marketing material. If you read about the site owners, they are commerical companies and they seek to make profit from this site. Do not be fooled that someone will send your bogus votes to congress and the bill will be passed. The site only aims at generating awareness among US citizens about congress and bill. They probably got some grant or decided to make money off this idea and started this website.

Not just sued but assembly line whupped by federal judges. :D And the new Attorney General can't take it any more.
The truest gem is this other line: "In the unlikely event that DHS receives actionable information after the application is approved, it will initiate removal proceedings."
So all they were waiting for these unlikely events to happen while they kept hundreds of thousands of applicants in the deep freeze at USCIS?!

Deals net, I was wrongly implicated in the case.!! If the wife/girlfriend wants to screw you they can say anything to the police!! She wanted me out of her life because she was having a affair!! and She brught the police when I showed her the evidence!! I guess You do not have a wife/girl like that in your life.
I pleaded guilty to save my career!!.
Sometimes wrong people get into your life and you have to deal with the consequence!! This situation can happen to anyone who dont watch out for people who walk into your life!!
