Hi All,
Looks like there are interpretation issues for few IV members (I'm not against to any member or isolating any one).
However, I have noticed interpretation issues in understanding a thread / posting for few members (based on their reaction).
The way RED dots are given really pinches to the posting owner.
My GC has been approved and I have not married yet. So I have posted my issue on thread and seeking helping from fellow IV members. I have received nice responses. I also have noticed the following comments on my control panel.
Looks like, some members have serious interpretation issues. They all gave me RED DOTS.
I really don't understand, why some one behaves like this when some one else has a real problem

Why are we rambling on and on about this? There is absolutely no connection between India buying fighter jets and immigration. That was what the OP wanted to know. If the immigration processes will get affected because India excluded Boeing and Lockheed. There seems to be no connection between the two issues. Period.

Hi,
I am planning to accept an offer from a company that will also sponsor my H1. All the terms & conditions look fine to me and their seems to be no bond.
However, the offer letter has a clause that is a bit strange and raised some doubts in my mind. Experienced people please comment and let me know if it has a risky hidden meaning. Please note I am not going to take any trainings and would start to work immediately with one of their clients. The clause goes like this.
"Employee acknowledges that the Company may invest significant sums to train and educate Employee and the Company�s investment in Employee would be jeopardized if Employee were to leave the company�s employment prior to the Company�s receipt of the benefits of such training and education. Employee hereby agrees to refund to the Company all amounts expended by the Company in the immediately preceding 12 months for education or training of the Employee if Employee resigns from the employment with the Company or is terminated by the Company for gross neglect of duty, material breach of the Letter or this Agreement or conviction or plea of guilty or no contests to a felony. Employee authorizes the Company to deduct and withhold such payment in full from any compensation or other amounts otherwise owed or payable to Employee. The payments will be due within 30 days of
termination of the employment."

All the people who crib about red dots: There is nothing IV can do about it.
This is a feature of the forum software.If some one uses foul language in forum posts then admins can warn them or block them. It is not possible if they do it in comments.
Actuallly, I suggest IV kickout anyone who cribs about red dots or that someone is using foul language in PMs/comments.
Keep the eye on the ball guys. If you see all the bullshit the IV admins bare with some other guy showing up every few weeks asking questions as if IV Core is getting rich off of the contributions. And some other guy shows up with a great plan (no sarcasm intended) asking CORE to make his thread sticky instead of keeping the thread on top by bumping it every few hours or so.Then when the core doesn't respond to their idea/request to make the thread sticky start abusing them. They take all that in stride and still continue to pour their hearts into something they believe in.
Now here are people so worried that they got a red dot and need the grievance be addressed. If not they will be afraid to post. If all it takes some one to stop you from posting your ideas is to give a red dot, how can any progress be made?

I would like to know How to file a complaint about labor fraud? I just found out that my employer didn't file 485 for me and instead he used the labor for someone else. Is there anyway I can file a complaint? I have no other option except to wait until the dates are current again. I paid all the expenses for labor, 140 and 485.
I don't think I can truly understand how frustrated and angry you must be and I really hope there is a legal avenue by which you could atleast get some kind of monetary reward. I hope you could take this employer through the DOL fraud dept and cause him to really pay for this.
One of the side benefits of the end of labor substitutions is that unscrupulous employers like your desi employer will not be able to sell a labor to the highest bidder or give it away to a new hire as a 'sign on' bonus. I have several friends who were waiting for GC desparately and they thought it was the final destination. They had many reasons why to get GC and once they get, they will be free and can do / will do everything possible. But, once they got it, they settled in a permanent job. Without GC, they were working for the same client with even more pay and life was good if not better.
I was thinking the same way; because I am no different.
Oflate, I realised, I am un-necessarily worried about something which is not in my control. I realised that I am well paid, with this pay even the benefits I am not getting are compensated. Why am I worried? Should I be after GC in order to get peace of mind? I started looking it little differently. I am in this country to earn more money and live comfortably. I am already enjoying what I wanted. Then, why am I worried still? May be it is in human nature to always look for something which is not in the hands.
I still need GC for other things like Children education and get some other benefits (our education / starting business etc). I agree, but there is lot of time for that in my case. There are several people who are in the same state as me if not all. Everyone's needs are different.
I thought I will just share my ideas so that atleast some of the people will be happier.
